Instead of my explaining check out my samples:
Blinking (from amadeus). Notice as Salieri walks into the room that there is like so much shiveriness present. Why does this happen when converting from VOB to Mpg (on some DVDs). Sometimes it doesn't happen. Also I bet IF I manually captured this from my standalone dvd (Well one of my computers has standalone DVD hooked up the capture card while the other one has dvd built in) this wouldn't have happened.
As far as the other sample goes (the rock NT) this is a manual capture. Do you think quality is just as good as if it were a dvd rip?
And one more thing. It seems to me that if I use Panasonic for VHS caps I get better quality encoding then when I use Tmpgenc. However on DVD captures I get horrible quality when using Panasonic. Is there a way to maybe improve this in some way??? I am still using YVU9 when capturing something. I like Panasonic better because it does seem to have better blockiness when a lot of motion is present.
Thanks ahead
