  1. I know this sounds like a stupid question, but here goes.
    I bought 5 Philips +RW (4x) discs new.
I use for experimenting in recording from Satellite, saves a lot of coasters!
The first time I burned a film to each of them it played no problem in my standalone DVD player. However, after erasing and burning to them again my DVD player doesn't recognise them??? They work fine in the PC tho.
I have tried erasing them in Nero V6, both quick and full formats, no joy.
Also tried erasing in Stomp RecordnowMax, still doesn't work??
Is there an erasing method that will return them pretty much to their 'virgin' state so that my player will recognise them again??

    Regards

  2. I think the problem may be your dvd player if they play in your pc. I would test this by trying to use the discs on a friends player OR changing the make of RW discs you are using.

  3. Try the erase feature in DVDInfoPro.

  4. Thanx for your replies guys.
Funnily enough I noticed on a forum elsewhere to try DVDDecrytor to erase them. I did, the full erase only takes about 20 secs and they now work in my standalone DVD player, amazing!
I guess all these programs do it a little differently!!!
I still have to try DVDInfoPro out of curiosity to see if it works.

    Cheers
