i have a second computer which is amd xp1600 cpu, 256mb ram, ati vivo 64mb graphics card and 10 gig hdd. what i am trying to do is output the tv out socket so i can play divx from my computer into my tv and watch on tv. i can do this but the problem is with these divx films when i play them thru tv out they have strange lines on the picture like as if there is not enough colours or resolution. it is like with every different shade of colour they have a line so that the colours do not blend and it looks horrible. thing is when i do the same thing on my 1st main computer, i get a good picture with no problems. the graphics card is difdferent in the main computer it is a geforce mx440. on my 2nd computer i have installed direct x 9 and latest drivers for my ati card but still i get these horrible colour lines. can anybody suggest what i should do or explain what is happening witht this? id be greatful of any help.

  2. Is that TV card set to PAL, I noticed your in the UK. You use PAL there correct? If so that might be why? Turn the video settings down too, 640x480 or something like that for TV's. My TV won't play at 800x600 it's all jacked up looking, sort of like how you desrcibed.
