Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone knows about or is using data backup software that supports DVD - or + R or RW mutisession? I am trying out NovaBackup 7.1 right now and it looks like it doesn't support mutisession for DVD discs. I want to be able to insert a DVD disc, burn to it and say maybe use 1GB of it, then be able to use the same disc and burn an incremental backup to that same disc.
Is anyone using something that is able to do this on a DVD disc?
Is multisession support an OS thing or a drive thing? I currently have Windows XP Pro w/SP1 and a Sony DW-U12A DVD Recorder.
Thanks!

This may do what you want. I used Roxio dirictcd to format a dvd-r. Then was able to do a direct vid capture to it in mpg. So should also work for what you want to do. If running Nero, only install the directcd software not the rest. (may have to uninstall Incd, but it wil only do RW media AFIK
Am not taking sides between Nero and Roxio (except for packet writing), just that of the versions I had available Nero was the one that reconized all my burners
