Well, I have a problem and I do hope somebody in here can give me a good solution!

I've got the Sony SLV-D950 DVD Player/Video Cassette Recorder.I use a scart cable to connect it to my Philips TV set.Now if I play a NTSC video cassette I can watch in colour, yet if I want to watch a NTSC DVD I can only watch in black and white.

    What's the reason for this

  2. One reason could be that you are a PAL user and this comboplayer is outputting NTSC tapes in PAL60 and NTSC dvd's in true NTSC.

What do you suggest I should do then and what about other possible reasons?

  4. If your TV supports RGB input then you can use a scart cable with RGB.
