    I am trying to convert a mpeg file to an AVI file… but it seems to be harder then i thought! Is there an REAL easy way to do it? I have tried VirtualDub as a decoder. With no success… anyone who can help me??

    Maybe i am stupid… but I have downloaded and tried AutoGK… it seems to be an DVD to AVI decoder, and not a (S)VCD to AVI decoder! And that is what I want! Can AutoGK do that?? If yes…How?

    I'm sorry - I assumed it was DVD MPEG2 --> DivX.

    I have never tried SVCD --> DivX but I'm sure Gordian Knot (AutoGK's big brother) will deal with it nicely.

    Another good one is Vidomi, but try what the other guys have suggested first: they're spot on.
