pioneer 5100 help help

Hello and thanks in advance for the advice....
have just got my new pioneer 5100h and its great looking and has lots o features etc, i have managed to get some of my home movies onto the hard drive and would like to transfer them to dvd-rw, when i attempt this it records onto the dvd-rw for about 2 to 3 mins max then comes up with and error message "cannot complete copy" now i have initialized the disc and read the manual, any advice welcome thanks......

Hi Philipl, they are memorex disc's and i have only tried this one as i did not intend to by any dvd-rw disc's as i have the hdd etc, but they are handy to test record and avoid coasters etc, also for transfering over to the pc for more complex editing, do you know of a tried and tested brand??? cheers.....

It sounds like a media problem. Memorex are somewhat notorious for being suspect. You'll find that the 5100/510 is generally very good with most other brands but occasionally there are a few bad ones in a stack of any brand's and the error mesage like you have now experienced will occur.
