Any of you chaps know how I can preview an authored DVD VIDEO_TS folder without having to burn a DVD?

I use DVD-Lab but its preview is rather lacking and doesnt really show me exactly what am going to be compiling.

Is the anyway I can open a compiled VIDEO_TS folder as a DVD and check to see if all my links etc are working correctly?

    Cheers,

  2. The best way to really test to make sure it's working properly is to write to a DVD-RW. If not you can erase it and try again.
If it works OK then proceed and write to a DVDR.
It takes a little time to write twice but you never produce any coasters ...

I just play the computer file as a DVD in PowerDVD.

  4. I use Media Player Classic. I just drag the IFO files in and it plays them as if it were a dvd, including the menus, and it lets me preview it fullscreen. It will also let you set buttons on your keyboard to be up/down/left/right, but they are not set by default.

Its a great free program to have for playing other media files, too.

  5. PowerDVD and WinDVD both have functions that allow for viewing of VIDEO_TS folders from the hard drive.

  6. Kained, with DVD-Lab you can also do a test compile which will replace the clips with dummy videos. It only takes a minute and it will produce fully functional menus which you can test with any software player from your HD.
