If you have VobSub installed, see if the TextSub filter in Virtual has better success.

  5. urm...no what i mean is, when i click open to choose my subtitle file, it goes back to the filter window but the subtitle is not actually added...which means i can't click ok to go back to virtualdub...which i think the subtitle is not even added at all...
btw i'm using vobsub 2.23...is it because it doesn't work with the virtualdub 1.5.10???

You are supposed to be using TextSub, which comes with VobSub.
    Hello.
