  1. I just finished ripping a DVD, using "DVD Decrypter". The problem is when I try to burn these files using DVD Decrypter, DVD Decrypter, will not except them. I would also like to put them on, a CD under 700MB. Can someone tell me, what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance...

    If you want a 700mb file you can burn to a CD you'll have to convert to Divx or Xvid. DVD Decrypter won't do that for you. You should use FairUse 0.4 or AutoGK for that. With your CPU the conversion is going to take a VERY long time.

    If you ripped files with Decrypter then you ripped in file mode and DVD Decrypter will not burn them. Rip in ISO and Decrypter will burn the ISO.

    I think you are doing everything wrong at the moment, but chin up, we'll get you there - just answer a few questions for me first.

    Some basic principles need to be understood before we can get anywhere.

    Firstly, DVD Decrypter will only output back to DVD Directly if you rip the DVD in ISO Read mode. It can then output back to DVD by putting it into ISO Write mode.

    Secondly, what makes you think a 4.7GB or 9.4GB DVD will fit on a 700MB CD ? It ain't gonna happen unless you do some modification to the DVD by reducing the quality of the output. Simple arithmetic should tell you this.

    Thirdly, you need to make some choices. I gather from your post that you don't have a DVD burner, only a CD burner. That is not a problem. We can burn to CD but decisions need to be made, such as:

    Do you wish to play it on a standalone DVD Player or just your computer ?
    Will it be a hassle for you if we span the movie over two or three CDs and you have to change it halfway through ?

    Try this;

    Method 1:
    Rip your DVD using my guide here.
    Convert to XVCD using the guide here.

    Method 2:
    Do it The Eazy Way.

    The Q word (Quality) is going to be the biggest deciding factor for you.
    If in doubt, Google it.
