1) I capture with Canopus ADVC50 to AVI (DV2)
In DVDLab this is what I see for my stuff:
The M2Vs are the same file (one is by CCE and the other by TMPGENC), both giving the M2V file the same "duration"). So the video is 1:16:41 using CCE and TMPGENC.
The WAV and AC3 are the same sound clip. The WAV came from TMPGENC and the AC3 came from VIRTUALDUBMOD and converted with FFMPEGUI. So the audio is 1:16:46 whether I demultiplex with TMGENC or VIRTUALDUBMOD.
So basically I am asking why are the "durations" of the sound and video files different?

I have this problem as well with DVD lab and after compling the dvd runs fine without any sync problem. If you encounter a sync problem, you might want to try unticking Sync to audio under Options in VirtualDub Mod to see if that helps.

GOP timecodes,
I see this all the time. The audio time is 99.99% correct. The video is always off. You should be able to run tools->fix GOP timecode to align the stated times.-----------------------------------------------------
