I thought We should discuss what program gives the best quality for dvd's when we burn them. I currently use dvd shrink and nero to burn dual layer (I re-author them for video only), and dvd decrypter to burn single layer. I have noticed that these programs give me great quality for the dvd's. Are there any programs out there that give greater/better picture quality, or are they all about the same. I am asking minus compression rates because we all know compression will cause poor quality. I thought this would make a good topic for people to choose software.
thanx all! if you have comparisons of two types of software, please do share if you noticed similarities or differences.

I tried backing up "finding nemo" with DVDshrink
the movie itself fits on a DVDR even with no compression
but the quality is horrible. I don't understand why.
When i tried doing it with the whole dvd, the quality
was better, but still not what i'd like it to be.
Am I doing something wrong?
I just got my burner and am trying out
a lot of different ways to get the best quality. -
re luwe: I remember seeing something regarding new version(s) of DVD Shrink having issues when using quality of 100% (ie, no compression required).
This is of course from memory, and I could totally be hallucinating it. But I think I remember reading something about that.
Try downgrading your version? It might make a difference *shrugs*.
Theorhetically, 100quality (no compression) should not alter the image in any way shape or form.
