    This may sound like a silly question but whats the resolution of vhs and tv ??

    Im talking about pal.

    Im asking as ive nether really tought about it before, as ive only ever done dvd > vcd, dvd > svcd and now dvd > dvdr.

    It's generally considered that 1/2 DVD (352x480/576) is the closest DVD resolution for TV, as for the actual resolution for TV.......not sure.
