  1. I've converted several DVDs in the past to VCD, but they were all 704x480 to 352x240 w/ 4:3 aspect ratio.

I wasnt paying attention and converted a widescreen DVD from 720x480 to 352x240 and obviously the aspect ratio is off.

I'm using TMPGEnc. To do this correctly, do I just change the aspect ratio to 16:9, or do I have to change the size to 360x240 and the aspect ratio to 16:9 NTSC? I've done some searching, but there's no complete N00b's guide to creating a widescreen VCD.

    Thanks

Normally what I do is go to the advanced tab of settings, leave the source aspect ratio to 1:1 and change the video arrange method to "full screen(keep aspect ratio)".
