Alright I was trying to make a backup for myself of From Hell earlier in the week and since the process for DVD-9 to DVD-5 is generally no problem I figured this would just be more of the same. I was in for a suprise heh...heres what I've tried:
1: Rip and transcode with DVDShrink 3: I ripped the DTS Audio, left the AC3 sound. I then mounted it on a virtual drive once the DVD was reauthored and there was no audio. Out of curiousity I burnt it to a DVD+RW to test on my DVD player, no audio.
2: Same step as above but instead I left the DTS in and removed the AC3, same result, no audio.
3: Ripping from DVD Decrypter in File Mode to my hard drive. Transcoding with DVDShrink again cutting out the DTS, no audio.
4: Same as above, except I tried to rip the AC3 out and once again, no audio.
5: Stream processing, on both the AC3 and DTS files in DVD Decrypter. There was an error while ripping the audio for some reason though and basically it didn't work.
I've never spent this much time on a backup...anyone got any ideas on how to do this? I've tried everything I can think of and this is the first time a DVD won't back up properly.

I'll give this a shot, ripping the DVD back to my hard drive right now. Thanks.
