Mounting a *.img file??

Is there a program like Daemon Tools that will mount a *.img file??
Or is there a program that will convert a *.img to a *.iso withough loosing quality so I can mount it that way?

Daemon tools can mount dvd img files, just select all files under file types and open the img.
