  1. is there a program out there that could split divx 4 encoded avi's to divx 4 and not divx 3...?

    Have you tried VirtualDub? You can get it from the tools link "http://www.vcdhelp.com/vcdtools.htm". I almost always use virtualDub for splitting Divx 4.02 avi's - you have to have the divx 4.02 codec which you can download for free from the divx site which you should also find at that link.

  3. thanx, but yea i used vitual dub and it seems to make a divx 3.x file and my comp decodes it in 4 but its just not the same as the file being originally divx 4 and not divx 3...
