I had the audio mysteriously cut out on me the last time I tried to encode with TMPGenc. The first two minutes or so had audio, and then there was nothing after that. The original AVI file had audio past that point, so the audio obviously got lost in the conversion process. I had used TooLame for the audio encoding. I'm not entirely sure my converting with TooLame is successful or no. I have seen the word "Error" appear in the message that flashes in the TooLame DOS window, but the window closes too fast for me to be able to tell what error there might be, if any. I encoded again last night without using TooLame and will test the new file when I get home.
Any ideas why this might happen or what error I might be encountering?

Okay, my MPEG encoded without TooLame does the same thing. Upon scanning forward through the file in Media Player, I discovered something interesting...the audio file picks up again about 22 minutes later--at the point where it dropped off. So the audio is about *22* minutes BEHIND the video--talk about a sync problem!
Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening and how to fix it?
