  1. Hi guys,

I tried twice using movie only option and removing the extra audio and got diffrent results but yet both are signifigantly under 4.3 one is 2.93 and the other is 2.98. In both cases I put the slider to 4.3.

    Any suggestions

    Thanks

Don't mean to sound funny about this, but, has the thought occurred to you that maybe it is already at the limit of its quality/resolution?
Perhaps it doesn't require any more space.

There are pressed dvds like that, too, in other words, the video on them doesn't have to fit the capacity of the disc in order to be complete.
Whatever doesn't kill me, merely ticks me off. (Never again a Sony consumer.)

  3. Other problems include the fact that IC has problems with dvd structure if you delete items. It is more than likely that IC isn't compensating for the additional space when deleting objects. Plus IC is notorious with sizing issues.

I use version 7 with the three updates and InstantCopySettings v1.4.1 tweak Instantcopy, works a treat.

I've tried many programs but found this to be the best for me, excellent quality and allows the most features to customise the way you shrink your DVD.
A while ago I came across an article some guy wrote about the way Instantcopy re-encodes the data. he used a $15000 program to compare the actual MPEG data, he also found the bitrate followed very close to the original just a little lower except the highest peaks were the same and the lowest points didnt go any lower than the origional.
I'll try to find this article if anyone is interested as I was impressed by his findings.

    ^^

Have you gone along the CCE method?

If so, how do those results compare?

Also, did you have any sizing issues with IC?

The best advice your going to get:Stop useing that POS instantcopy! Its just a big waste of time with its awful sizeing issues combined with the insane processing time.DVD2One,DVDshrink,DVDxCopy,etc Anything is better.

Personally i use DVD2One.Its a Solid and well made program that processes fast and delivers the full 4.36GB filesize everytime. Its also easy to use with no hassels whatsoever and delivers excellent quality.

  10. star warrior,

I have dvdxcopy and I don't really like it.

The only time I have the problem with not fillling the disc is in movie only . the times when I do the user defined it fills the disc.
