Hi.
Is is possible to encode for VCD quality, and then put the VCDs onto a DVD in order to get more video time on one DVD?

You can use your 352x240/288 VCD video and 48k audio. VCD audio calls for a 44.1k sample rate so you have to convert it to 48k to be a DVD compliant stream.
