  1. I installed the "nimov432" codecs that are available in the tools section. Theye really screwed with my other codecs, and my software SVCD codec (Powerdvd 4.0). It played SVCD's at diffrent resolutions, not 480x480 (with mediaplayer).

So I went and un-installed most of the codecs that it installed, and I got standard mpeg and divx working fine again, however no matter what I do I can't get SVCD to work again. I've installed/uninstalled PowerDVD 3.0 and 4.0 a # of times, rebooted, etc.. and still no go. I still get "Class Not Regiestred" when using mediaplayer 6.4 and 7.1 (used to work, as long as PowerDVD was installed).

SVCD's still play "using" PowerDVD, but for some reason I just like viewing with Mediaplayer.

Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on how to get this to work again? Thanks.

  2. I'm having similar issues. nothing mpeg1 was working properly, some avi's would freeze, video rendering would stutter and only certain video editing tools could open certain media. I got most of it back too normal but now
i can't play VCD's. I made one with Roxio WinOnCD and it played fine in my laptop but it wouldn't even start in my desktop. Some advice too all. Install each codec and filter individually so you know what your putting into your machine. or at least make sure you know how to unf*ck your PC if the filter and codec pack didn't come with an uninstall.
