Hi there, i have a dvdrw dual drive in my laptop, its is a 2 speed device. Can you use a 4 speed disc in a 2 speed device?
When i use a 2 speed -R disc i can burn a dvd image to the disc without problems, when i use a +R 4 speed disc it fails when on lead out? I am using the latest version on nero to burn the images to the discs.
Also, Is it true that dvd writers will have problems with certain brands of discs? could it be this that is causing the problem. Although i am using the same brand of + and - r disc. If so how does one know what brands are compatible, not many places near me sell single discs, trial and error could work out to be quite expensive...
cheers
chris

go to the website of your dvd burner and see if they have an update to burn 4x media. you won't be able to burn at 4x, but you should be able to burn the 4x media at the speed of your burner 2x(2.4x)? media is very important, some dvd players and burners, don't like one media, but will work great with another
