problems with burning dvds

Hello I am having problems with burning dvds. when they play in the home dvd player they break up into small squares and occasionally freeze. If i am backing up a dvd i uses dvd decrypter first then dvd2one, I then burn with nero by puting the files into the Video_ts folder, I burn a 2 speed as i thought 4 speed may be the problem. I shut down all internet activity while i am doing them. If i burn a copied dvd that plays perfectly already, the new one doesnt. so obviously i am doing something wrong, could anyone please help?

My home dvd player is a Logix and my dvd burner is a lite-on 4x. I am Using ritek G.04 discs, as i was using others which also had the same problem.

Sounds like the home player doesn't like the media.

thanks capmaster but I have discs of the same brand from a friend that play just fine

same brand, maybe different batch. try another brand
