hi. i was wondering if someone can help me with this one.
i have been converting pal to ntsc using nerovision ( i did this by accident and it worked) by converting svcd to dvd, and saving to my drive. then i have wanted to author this file with tmpg enc, but when i try, i get .....the current bitrate video is 9800 kbps, audio 1536 kbps. combined 11336 kbps. the combined audio and video bitrate can be no more than 9.848 mbps (9.848 kbps).
what do i do know, i could either ignore, but then it tells me that standalone dvd player will not support this, or i can close the program.
please someone
thanks

You have to be under 10.08 MBits to be DVD compliant - at the moment you are 11.3 MBits. You are going to have to either re-encode the video or the audio at a lower bitrate. I'm gathering you have the files as MPEG-2 files. The easiest way would be to Demux these in TMPEnc Plus and then re-encode using lower settings.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Say jimmalenko, how well do you think Rejig would work in a situation like this as far as shrinking the video so that it falls below the maximum allowed DVD bitrate? Seems like it would be a possible alternative, and a much quicker one than re-encoding. You being someone that knows a lot more about DVD authoring than I do, I wanted to get your thoughts.
