I am trying to convert an avi to mpeg-1. I tried using tmpgenc to do the conversion. When I click on the browse to select the avi file, I can't use the same file for audio source. How can I convert the avi file and get the audio portion?
Thanks,
Rage

Get VirtualDub. Open AVI. Go to the audio menu and go to Full Processing. Go to the file menu and go to Save as WAV. This will create an uncompressed WAV file.
If in doubt, Google it.
