I am editing my first DVD authoring project using Roxio DVD Builder. While I consider that program to be rather rudimentary, I do like some feature, like “Menus” and Submenus”. I am assuming that programs like this produce a text file that consists of video file names/locations and “from frame number to frame number” information, plus any special feature that the software is capable of producing. My question is regarding inter-portability. Can these projects be opened up or imported into another editing program? Failing that, is there any post-processing that can be done to the original file to make it possible to either open or import? DVD Builder has very limited “Open”, “Save As…”, and “Import” capability, which doesn’t help much. Also, can a Windows MovieMaker file be made to burn a DVD, or is there another editing program that can open up MovieMaker files?
Thanks in advance for you help!
