  1. Hi!

I have tried a couple program to author DVD with sub, here's the result :

    1. dvdauthorgui -> gives error on my m2v created by tmgpenc plus.
    2. dvdmaestro -> gives subtitle out of sync (only a little, maybe around 2 seconds at the end of the movie)
    3. dvdlab pro beta -> error on compiling, I think this is the program bug.
    4. adobe encore dvd -> gives both audio and subtitle out of sync from the video, but the audio and sub itself it sync!

my source is XVID, converted to ntsc 23,xxx fps using tmpgenc pulldown to 29,xx fps.

    please help me guys.
    thanks a lot!

You can use the freeware tool called IFOedit. In the Tools section, there is also a link to a guide. However, IFOedit does not have an easy way to make menus along with subtitles.

what does dvdauthorgui say? I have tried with a tmpgenc m2v 23,976 with 3:2 pulldown and subs and it worked fine.

Without seeing the log for dvdauthorgui, im going to take a stab in the dark and say you are mis-reading the log. More than likely, it is a problem with the audio stream, and not the video. If the stream is ac3, try running it through ac3fix.

  5. I tried dvdauthorgui again, now it's gives me this error :

WARN: Discontinuity in audio channel 0; please remultiplex input.
    WARN: Previous sector: 240.850 - 240.946
    WARN: Current sector: 1527.218 - 1527.314
ERR: SCR moves backwards, remultiplex input.

    then the program exit.

But this is better then before, cause now it's accept my m2v created by tmgpenc.

    thanks.

PS: my audio and video seems different in length exactly 1 seconds, I tried both nandub+besliced and vdubmod method, both gives me .ac3 shorter 1 seconds then the video, so I assume this is normal

thanks Sakuya for your respond. I forgot to mention that I have multiple xvid to fit in 1 dvdr. Of course I already tried the hard way, creating each ifo for each movie, import using dvdlab. But somehow this is also failed since the sub only appears maybe less then a half of the movie.

    thanks again!
