    Just been out and bought a 25 pack of DVDR's there completly white and have no manufactures name or marks on at all.. (they were the cheapest) the shop keeper told me they were - ive got a DVD writer than burns +'s at 2x and -'s at 4... ive put in my drive and its only letting me burn at 2x so im thinking they must be + but when I tried one in my tv + only tv recorder it could'nt reconise the disc now I am confused are they + or - ????? how can I tell
    DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

    Cant burn plus at 2x

    2.4x, 4x, 6x and 8x for plus medias

    Any DVD burning software will tell you their format BTW

    you could put one in the drive, load up DVD Decrypter, go to mode > ISO >write....and see what it says in the space on the right.

    DVDinfopro should also be able to tell you what they are.
