Panny HS2 AV1 SCART to TV SCART.
Sky is set to output RGB & Scart contol ON

Only try Reset to Factory Defaults as a last resort as you will lose every thing on your HDD.

    Hi Stu,

I have the AV2 connected up the same way as you. Sky to AV2, AV1 to TV, AV2 and Sky set to RGB. Recording from Sky+ too E100 works everytime.

Do you think it is worth trying to do a dubbing with the Sky+ box turned off?

  3. Hi,

    Results of the latest test.

I turned off all other equipment (Sky+, TV, Amp etc) so the E100 would not be getting any input from anywhere.

I then inserted a DVD-RAM and formatted it to make sure I had a clean disk. I then started and FR mode dub with the same three episodes of The Handler.

Result? 2 hours 4 minutes of a pink screen!

It is almost as if the DVD drive has lost the ability to record from the HDD.

    Any ideas from here?

Hi Graham. I am at a total loss now. It looks like you will have to talk to someone at Panasonic, or the dealer you bought it from. How old is the unit?, Sorry I cant be of any more assistance. Here are a couple of pointers:–

  6. Hi,

The recorder is only a few weeks old. I did do another test which was High Speed to a DVD-RAM and that worked. I then tried an SP copy to DVD-RAM (XP source) and that failed. The problem does appear to be in the resampling of recorded data onto DVD.

I will have a look at the forum you suggested.

    Thanks
