  1. Well I've ordered all the components for my new system I am building (minus the motherboard and graphics card which I already have) from Ebuyer.I ordered from Ebuyer because all the prices were cheap, so I just dove straight in. Now the delivery is set for the 8th and it is to late to cancel the order I decide to check out reviews of Ebuyer(how clever )...and after about 8 pages of horror stories (mainly on returns) I really began to worry. So what I want to know is has anyone ordered from them before and what were they like?

  2. I have built many PCs using components from eBuyer, and they're fairly good. Main good points:

    - Vast selection of goods
    - Normally available quickly
    - Cheap!

    Bad points:

    - Want to talk to customer services? Wait for half an hour on the phone...
    - Returns take a while to go through (like a week)
    - When you place an order, and one part isn't available, they don't hold anything else back for you - if something else goes out of stock you're going in circles

Overall, we still order a lot from them. Other sites are www.overclockers.co.uk and www.pcnextday.co.uk - these are good.

    Hope this helps,

I'd avoid these lot like the plague if I were you - they are great until you need to return something. They have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I'm not the only person I know to have had trouble with 'em either.

  4. I've never had to return anything to them, so I wouldn't know. I have heard people say this a lot, though.

I have bought alot of items from them in the past but I'll never use them again. See these two posts, one contains samples of some of the insane emails I received from them.

  6. If they ever tried that on with me, I'd be driving right up to their office to give them hell in person. I'm sick of companies thinking they're above the law, and above their customers.

Yeh, I've bought stuff from them before, also Dabs. Not a lot to choose between them. Ebuyer are often criticised for having hefty p&p. Not had to return anything before though. I like the way their products are rated by buyers so you can pick up a lot of info before you buy. Never had any problems with them before.

I ended up sending them an email explaining they had 24hrs to sort it out or it would be going legal, it was sorted out 45mins later. I was going to write to them explaining why I would never use them again but I couldn't be bothered.

I use them all the timke because their prices are great, but as already said, their attitude on returns is not great.
I've returned three things and haven't had a probem but no matter how much I complain about having to pay to return something; they don't listen.
Their biggest problem is they don't have a human face, it all seems too automated; I've never had a response that wasn't generated in my life from these people.

I think someone wrote their website for them, and now it's just a website and a warehouse - nothing else. i couldn't even FIND a phone number before.

Having said that, i purchase all my PC supplies there (except blank media) and very very rarely have problems (and then it's carriers breaking goods, so not their fault)

  12. return postage CAn be zero.. as they will sometimes pick stuff up. Generally pretty good tho.. buyers comments are good and appear to include criticism. Always pay with a credit card and you cant go wrong.
