I have a dvd that I am converting from PAL to NTSC. The conversion is ok but I have one big M2V file and two separate audio files (one for each language). There is only room on the dvd for the one m2v file and the two audio files. Is there a way to set it up so the user can select which language they want to be played with the video file. I have dvdlab. Is there any way to do this in dvdlab or do I need another program. Any suggestions????????

You could mux the m2v and two audio files into TMPGEnc MPEG Tools, provided they are both compatible.

Another idea is IfoEdit, using the DVDAuthor function and adding both audio files at the same time. Once the DVD is burned, you should be able to change audio tracks with the remote.
    Hello.

If I mux the two audio files with the video wouldnt both audio files play at the same time. I want to be able to choose one or the other. I read the dvdlab manual and I do not think that there is a way to do this in dvdlab. I had hoped to stay away from learning ifoedit because I heard that it has problems with ntsc material and I am not sure if ifoedit can do this either. I am sure that it can be done because the original dvd only had one set of vobs and there was a way to switch the audio through the menu.

  4. The new DVD-Lab Pro Beta can author multiple audio streams.

sorry for the confusion on my part but if there are two audio streams what button would you push on the remote control to switch streams. Can you specify the button you want to use in the authoring program or is there on predefined button. I am thinking that maybe it is impossible to do it the way I was thinking with a main menu and deciding on what audio you want and selecting a button from there.

    The "audio" button.

Yes. Setting a specific audio stream is a command. You can assign it to a button (button command) or as a pre/post/cell command.

    Wow when you say:

I am lost. I will go do some more reading and I need to learn some things.

About the audio changing button on the remote control. I have never seen this. I have always had to set up the audio from the main menu. I do have a subtitle button and can switch subtitles on the fly but I pressed every button on the remote and there is way to switch audio streams on the fly. Maybe it is because I got a cheap universal replacement remote because my dvd player (pioneer 434) was a display model and did not come with a remote. Should there be an audio button on the remote.

  8. Some remotes doesn't label the audio button as audio, instead they label it as ' Language ' button.
And IFOEdit can mux multiple audio and subpicture tracks. When you mux multiple ausio tracks with IFOEdit, they won't play simultaneously. You have to select the audio track by using the remote's ' language ' button.

personally, I think IFOEdit is a great program.

  9. Not all remotes have a button to switch the audio (though most do; you seem to be a bit unlucky there). That's why it's best to have a menu if you're authoring a DVD with more than one audio stream.
