    Hi All,

Recently bought Pioneer OEM 107D DVDRW and installed in on my dual boot windows xp/linux PC. I'm having problems getting the drive to recognise any media of the DVD variety.

    I've tried Darawrite Red 4x DVD-R http://www.datawrite.co.uk/dvd/minus/4xv2.htm
    and memorex DVD+RW 4xRW media.

The drive will recognise and burn CD-R and CDRW media without problems. Nero, Deepburner and DVDINFOPro all report the drive as empty/not ready when DVD media is in place.

Booting into linux and using the DVD Tools there http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/
specifically dvd+rw-mediainfo showed that the drive in linux will recognise the dvd-r red top media, but writing under linux is another game entirely !

My main use of the machine is Win XP does anyone have any ideas that might fix this so that I can use this drive rather than it bein £90 worth of junk.

I've already made sure I have latest 1.13 official firmware and the windows aspi dll's in place.

    TiA
