  1. Hello All:

    As I use different video files I see many file extensions and don't understand the meaning of them. Extensions such as, tcr, ts, tcs, teg, tcf, ts-escteric, eso, psysem, sbc, smr, full, just to name a few.

    Is there a glossory that list the meaning ot these file extensions? I have read the glossorys in dvdrhelp and all other places that i've been able to find but no luck. If ther are no glossorys where could I possible fing the information?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    R U pulling my leg!

    My computer-->Tools-->Folder options-->View
    un check hide file extensions for known file types
    then look at them again.
    then get gspot or avicodec and read some.

    Dude, those are pirated movie release groups, not file extensions. Unless you're a glutton for punishment, stay away from this thread from this point on.

    Most of those extensions are for groups that do pirating of movies and software and games and you find them mainly on the newsgroups.teegee420,i dont think its wrong to ask,if you are looking thru the newsgroups and find these names its good to know what they are so you can stay away from them.

    I think you misread me. Did I not answer the question? You know as well as I do that people get flamed here for asking questions like that, which is why I chose to warn barney.

    Didnt misread you,its people who ask questions such as "lotr3 is squished,how do i fix it" that get flamed,unknown file extensions to me are another matter whether they be warez or not.No big deal.

  10. Barney,

    Please read the forum rules.

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=124514

    The file types you are asking about are used by people
    to obtain compressed video/movies without paying for
    them. They are considered warez.
