If you mean you want to cut out poor looking frames from your mpeg then Womble MPEG2 VCR can do it.

  3. I already use a wobmle software which enables me to cut the bad frame and copy the frame next to it. But i've noticed that sometimes this didn't look that well.
What i wanted to do is, once i've located the frames to be able to erase the noise on the frame so i don't delete any frame at all
    thx for the support

  4. Do some searching on filtering. I am not familair on this, but through my journeys i have noticed a few guides and articles on filtering captures to get rid of noise and make them look good. There was one in particular with a live band and they were cleaning up noise and the results seemed pretty good. I think you apply the filters with virtual dub, and some can even be applied using avisynth while your encoding.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone here has figured out a way to do this, but I don't think it's possible.

  6. tonofsteel is right - Avisynth can do this (i.e. apply noise filters on a frame by frame basis). The downside is that you will have to do a lot of reading and playing with it on a trial and error basis. Also it would probably be better if you converted your mpg to an uncompressed avi first (if you have the room). You would then have to spend a lot of time going through the file in VirtualDub and write down the exact frame numbers you want to apply the filters to.

  7. thanks again for all your answers but seems like i didn't make myself clear. and i'm really sorry :P that is why i attached a photo of my problem

    I wanna remove those lines.
I was told if i deleted the frame and replaced it copying the frame next to it, i wouldn't notice anything when watching the final results. But u actually do
So i wanted to paint the lines.
I used the womble software which enabled me to make the snapshots but snapshot and video aren't the same colour.
I hope i've been clear enough
    Thank you

    What I have done:

    1) Identify bad frames (actually the hardest part).
    2) Clip out and number the good sequences.
    3) Convert the bad sections(whole GOP's) to BMP's (lossless).
    4) Fire up the editing software and 'clean it up'. This takes forever, but I only have a few frames that are really noticable.
    5) Re-encode the BMP's to MPEG2.
    6) Merge the MPEG's back together.
    7) Re-mux the original audio.

The key is I still have exactly the same number of frames. If the clip is short, you can convert the whole thing.

You can do all kinds of interesting things this way, including insert people into the movie. Great for cheesey light-saber affects as well.

I once ran a bad video thru TMPGENc and saved a video as an image sequence file....

Loaded up the really bad ones in Photoshop and then compiling back again (I dont remember how i made the images into video again) but the effect came out good. Took me A LONG time to do it.. Wasnt worth it because it was just a 3 min. music video

  11. Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0 includes a rotoscoping program called VIDEO PAINT that would let you correct indidividual images on a frame-by-frame basis.
