Yeah, I can't believe I care about something like that either . . .
However, I'm trying to put together an MPEG-4 project that's viewable on a PC. I've got 3ivx and I know I can pass that through to apple mp4--is that PC compatible? And what's the best audio to use?

Use DiVA to convert your video to 3ivx MPEG-4, and use QuickTime Pro to convert your audio to MPEG-4 AAC then combine the two in QT into either an MP4 container or a MOV container. Take those files to the PC and open them in QuickTime 6 for Windows and you're good to go ... no need to have 3ivx installed on the PC either! If you do have 3ivx installed in the PC then these files will also play in Windows Media Player.
