  1. I think my TMPGenc is screwing up the output mpeg 2 files. The avi that I am encoding doesn't show these color problems, but the m2v file that comes out has a strange color problem. The color is normal, then it gradually gets a tint of red/purple over the next few seconds, then it suddenly switches back to normal color before doing it all over again in the next 5-7 second period. I just installed codecs the other day because my Media Player would just close upon trying to open a file, a type of file that it could open with ease before. If anyone has a specific type of codec installer they recomend to use please let me know. I don't see how this can be anything other than the fact that I just installed new codecs. I just want peoples opinions and also a suggestion on which mpeg2 codec is best to use. Thank You

    I use the one that comes with PowerDVD - never a problem.
    If in doubt, Google it.
