So i take it that this cant be done,

does anyone know if DVD-LAB can do this ?

what i will try and do is have the Video go for 5secs and set the MPG Loopage time to 30secs, so it will play for 5 secs then stay until 30 secs then it will loop. maybe that would be acceptable.

I have seen quite a few professional DVD's that show a still in
a video loop to mimic what you are trying to achieve. In Scenarist
you can set the total loop time and the next play video (or menu)
but not in Tmpgenc DVDAuthor AFAIK - same goes for Movie Factory,
Workshop and Media Studio Pro. SpruceUp can also do it I think.

Possible workaround/bodge that might work with dvdlab
make 2 identical menus (but one with the mpg as backround and one with the still)
then link the motion menu to the still (dont know if you can do this, not got dvdlab loaded at the mo)
