  1. I want to convert a bilingual MPEG-1 (with two different languages via the left/right stream) to monolingual by deleting one of the languages (left or right stream).

How do I go about doing this?

    Thanks in advance!!

  2. Download Goldwave. (trial ware). After installed, open it, click the 'OPEN' button. A dialogue box will pop up, look for the mpg file you want to work on and click open.

The program should start flashing the file, you can see the progress bar working.

When it finishes flashing, you will see a graph with two two audio streams in it. One on top and the other at the bottom of the graph.

Now click the edit button on the top (next to file button), select channel, then choose either the left or right on the drop down menu. You should know which channel you want by playing the file before you start Goldwave.

One of the audio track on the graph should be highlighted, that'll be the track you want to save.

Now click file>save selecton. Choose a folder to save the audio track in and click save. The default should be 16bits .wav , so you don't need to do anything but just type a file name in the blank field.
You're done with this part now.

Look for a guide on the left to learn how to convert wave files to mp2, mpa or ac3 files.
Demux the original mpg into a m2v and mp2 files.

Mux the m2v with the audio file you just finished working on and you'll have a mpeg file with only the audio you want.
Its really easy, don't let this longwinded post scare you .

    Good Luck

    It works great!!!

After I got the wave I wanted I just multiplexed it with the mpg using TMPEnc plus.
