  1. Hello. I've found this site very helpful before. I learned burn DVDs and stuff but I still haven't found a way to get around the region code issue on my standalone player. So, is there any way I can rip one of my existing REGION 2 DVDs and somehow make the player think it is a REGION 1 DVD. In other words, how can I make the region disappear if let's say I just burn the movie without menus and stuff like that. Is that even possible? Thank you very much for your time!

If you rip and burn a disk most software will automatically make it region free.

  3. DVD-Rs can't store region information, so once it's ripped you should be fine. Be sure to remove any RCE protection as well.

If it's a single layer disc, iso mode in DVD Decrypter does a fine job.
