Hi,
Everyone, please excuse my ignorance, but I am a newbie to the DVD creation. I have a DVD writer (Maxtor) in my computer and I have a Malata DVP-580 player that I am told is compatible up to ying-yang with everything that moves except for the window drapes and my neighbor's cat. I read through the "How To" guides and instructions, but I cannot make much out of them. My question is, what if I want to just download a movie off the Net and then write it to a DVD and watch it through my player, which guide should I use? Is this what is understood by "authoring a DVD"? If I go through Kazaa, do I have to decode/encode again the files? If the movie is from a North American download site, shouldn't it already be in the right format (NTSC, as I understand)? Is there one comprehensive instruction on how to do what I want to do, and where can I find it?
Please advise
Thanx
