I typed in 352 x 480# just like lordsmurf's site said to do at allvideosizes registry key, then rebooted but I don't see it anywhere when I start the program. Also do I have to change the deinterlace registry settings at both powervcr locations in the registry or just the one under software in hkey local machine? I want to add the following sizes to powervcr II 3.0 deluxe 352x480 and 544x480. I want to test the 544x480 cap from dtv cause I know it uses that resolution. thanks

    Double-check it.
You have all the punctuation (#) in there right?

I know the setup part of the guide works.
I got sidetracked on the actual capturing aspects.

MainConcept 1.4 made the cut finally too, will share that soon.
Those are the only 2 good options.

yes this is exactly what i have at the end of the value is 352 x 480#. I want to also add 544 x 480# too. Do you think lordsmurf, that if i cap at 544 x 480 around a 2000kb vbr that the results should match the dtv stream as closely as possible? I know you can patch the header to make it compatible for certain dvd authoring programs. I know not all dvd players will play a disc like this but most should. I read on your site that dtv broadcasts mpeg 2 at 0-2000 kb, so this is where I came up with my idea for this.

I've been trying to figure this out but I did it the right way and it didn't work yet. Can someone make a reg file for me that has the settings 352 x480 and 544 x480? I changed the deinterlace values already but the size is not working for me when I put 352 x 480#. I would appreciate it alot. Please pm it to me or something. thanks

    Change both HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER

I didn't have to do that on my Win2K machine, but apparently I must on a WinME or XP machine. Odd.

  7. I tried to do the same like on lordsmurfs site http://www.lordsmurf.com/ , but it still not work. I have 352 x480 and 544 x480 on drop down list, but when I try to transcode in this resolutions, the resolution of output file is 720 x480 (NTSC). The same situaton is with PAL system. .Also when I transcode (live) from DV input (Sony D8 camera) to VCD the output file have very strange resolution 366 x240 instead to 352 x240-VCD standard. When I do the similar thing, but just convert (convert file option) captured AVI from the same device to VCD, the result is ok.!!! I am a little bit confused. Is the POWERVCR so HORRID software, or what?! Can you e-mail me REG file (if all works fine on your computer- lordsmurfs or nick101181) .com. Thanx a lot!
    Cheers,
    Luna

I'll work on getting up some downloads on my site. I've got some in the plans, just haven't had time to upload them and add the updated site pages.

I also added MainConcept 1.4 settings, which can work decently too, but it takes a LOT of tweaking too, and is not friendly on most systems I tested with. Gotta have powerful CPU and lots of RAM.
