Is there a quality difference between the external and internal drives for the 2500a? I saw the External for $137 (with Nero Suite 6.0) and the Internal for $92 (no software), but I'm not sure if there's much of a difference. I have the extra space in my computer, so it's not mandatory that I get an external, but I'd spend the extra money if it's a better drive. Also, is the included software decent, or would I be better off downloading other software instead? It'll be my first drive, so I don't really know too much about it. Thanks in advance for all the help.

In my opinion internal is the only way to go. I tried an external received in error and it was much slower than the internal. The additional cost for an external is due to the drive housing and making it a little more sturdy for moving around. I would opt for the INTERNAL, always.

I bought the 2500a back when it was $100 on Newegg. I bought a Plumax external USB2.0 case on Dealsonic for $30 shipped. I put them together & they work like a charm. Very good for taking it to a friend's house for some fun.
