  1. Is there a possibility to copy (rip) music on DVD and burn it on CD so I can listen to it on a ordinary CD-player ?
If so, how do you do it

    Thx in advance

  2. Here's one way you can achieve this:

    - Find the music you want to get. Note the start and finish times.
    - Rip your DVD.
    - Open up in DVD2AVI.
    - Find the start and click the "[" button.
    - Find the end and click the "]" button.
    - Set it to downmix to WAV.
    - Open the resulting WAV up in your favourite audio editing app, and take what you want.

You can burn this WAV to CD using your favourite burner.

    Hope this helps.

Intrud€r: You do realize that the entire audio track from a DVD is many times bigger than will fit on a CD as a WAV?

A single stereo audio track should be about 1 GB and a CD is 700 MB.

Try the two DVD-MP3 alternatives here.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Extract the audio from the DVD using SmartRipper ... this guide is very helpful :: http://www.glump.net/content/audio_dvd_rip/guide.htm

I use SmartRipper (as shown in the guide) then I feed the AC3 into BeSweet ...see: http://www.doom9.org/ac3tomp2.htm

The SmartRipper option (set up correctly) only rips the AC3 and then the BeSweet conversion makes a pretty damn good MP3 -- I like it better than HeadAC3

Encode your AC3 into the LAME "Alt_Standard" setting and you will fit it on to one CD NO PROBLEM
