Hi guys.
I've got a rather posible dumb question, regarding the link below:
<edited -- link removed - warez site --- bjm>
My question (obvious) is, is this for real ??
I need Office 97 (or maybe even Office 2000) - am I dreaming or what hehe ??
Thanks,

hi housepig,
Thanks for responding.
Yeah, I realize that there is the posibility of it being bootleg (not totally legit)
but then, they got a webstie, and are not "hiding" from anyone, so there must
be some legitiamcy involved here, else they'd be too easily cought for this 8O
The part about the "packing" makes sense. I don't know how many times I
heard people say "...reason it costs so much is the 'packaging' .. yada yada"
So, naturally, I coudn't resist, and decided to post here first, for some peoples
suggestions (or knowledge of flim-flam nonsense)
Any other takes on this website ??
Also, does anybody know of any good low-cost stores (websites) that sell
software much cheaper (but is DEFinately legit) ??
Thanks everyone,

Become a student, or get a job in education, you can then buy a lot of software at educational discount prices, and the savings can be huge.

I would buy it. That's how I sell my software. Retail is a waste on software. You can give anyone the XP install disk without any worries of "bottlegging". All you have to buy is the KEY for the software, You can buy for an XP home/pro install key for $100-$140. They mail you the card with a key on it. The "retail" gives you the box, instructions, and all the other junk you don't need. As far as support: www.microsoft.com
I wouldn't buy from that site though. It's not a .com or .net and those prices are too low even for wholesale cost. I can XP for around $85-90 wholesale and that's the lowest it goes unless you 500 copies or more.

it is warez -- as why --- read housepigs post ......
sending your CC to E. Europe , and not even on a https connection ...
well i got some swamp land for you also ...
also -- just because they have a web site means nothing ...
there are 100's of these sites ... and they even sell on ebay ... but its all warez ...
