Look for the 4x, blue packaging, made in Japan. Online you can check: Newegg, pagecomputers.com, shopperwiz.com, buy.com.....these are respectable retailers with some competitive pricing.

I just ordered a 50 pack from newegg for $62.00.I don't know the media code. But they were advertised as Maxell DVD-R 4X.I emailed them and told them not to ship unless they say Made in Japan. You can buy 10 packs @ Walmart for $17.00.

I assume you've ordered the silver printables...#635127. The 635129's are white matte printables and they are genuine MXL's. Excellent disks. -

I hope you are right Hawseman. They are #635127.They run $66.80 for a 50 pack this price includes shipping.I have been using Ritek GO4's which play fine in my Panasonic and Apex DVD players. They don't play good in a JVC player.I am having some 35+ years old home movie transfered to DVD and I want the most compatible DVD-R to burn copies to.I tried a 10 pack of the Maxell's and they played in anything.
P.S. Hawseman how much weight are you lifting there? Thanks for your reply.DVD-BLUES AKA" THE WIDOWMAKER" -
