**UPDATE** First things first: TMPG AUTHOR closes automatically when I goto output the dvd that I Authored, no errors no nothing **UPDATED**

Well the past few days I have been looking over all the forums and guides and try to convert all my svcds and vcds so I can author and burn them together. I ran into a slew of different problems about being different video formats such as ntsc/pal, and then I ran into a few problems that even after I loaded the DVD template and re-encoded the my source video to m2v elementry stream, Tmpg Author would still tell me the file was illegal that it wasn't mpeg1 or mpeg2. I'm using different sources such as mpeg-1 and mpeg-2 (vcd/svcd), and I don't want to just patch the headers to trick it, because I want them to be able to play back in my ps2, and other dvd players in the house.

Now that I have fixed most of those problems, now when after I have loaded my mpeg streams into TMPG Author, after I create my menus and I goto output it closes. The program just closes with no errors or anything. And this does it on both of my computers.

I have tried to use other programs since this, but I'm dissapointed that I cannot use tmpgauthor. I'm trying now to author my movies on Ulead. Also I found out on one of my vcds even though the source is about 120minutes for somereason the m2v file is only 45minutes. I used the template like I said, I dont understand why there isn't any guides on converting video. Someone told me because it is a lot of time to convert it, but I don't see whats so difficult. I have vcdgear, tmpgenc, vdub, headac3he.. Do I need to demux the svcd to encode the video and audio seperate, because I was just loading both cds into tmpg merge them, and then load that mpg for the source to encode the mpg. And Vdub works fine grabbing the audio to a wav, and headac3he encodes it great.

Now I hear if my source is PAL I have to drop and blend frames to get it to ntsc and that I have to play with the audio framrate to get it back in sync. If anyone has anyclue how to help me out on my problems please let me know.
