Nero wont read from dvd-rom no more.

hi, i have recently upgraded to Nero 6.3.1.6 and have started to notice that nero wont read from my dvd-rom drive any more.

if i put a disc that has already been recorded by my in the drive to do a 'dvd copy' it just keeps ejecting the tray saying that the disc is either blank or invalid, but if i try and do a dvd copy from the pioneer 106 drive it will work, but i dont wanna use that drive all the time, thats why i have a dvd rom, and this the first time i have encounted this problem.

the dvd-rom seems to be working ok cause if i put a disc in the drive ansd just open it as normal in explorer is shows all the files as normal.

any help would be welcome

Have you checked to see if there is a firmware update for your DVD-ROM that might fix the problem?

hiya, i have updated the fw but still the same, i have also gone back to the previous version of nero, which is 6.3.0.3 and it works fine now, its just with the latest version 6.3.1.6
