  1. Hello. I've searched pretty much the entire internet and can't seem to solve this problem. For some reason, whenever I start the installation of WinFast PVR it gives me an uknown error. It will show the welcome screen, but when I click "Next" it displays the following error message and then exits the setup program:

    Error Number: 0x80004005
    Description: Unkown Error

    Setup Will Now Terminate

I tried several things, such as uninstall the K-Lite Codec Pack and Reinstalling the drivers from scratch.

I have a WinFast TV2000XP Expert capture card. The actual drivers for the card work. I've just downloaded the latest drivers from Leadtek's website and they installed ok. However, the actual WinFast PVR program won't install.

Now I have tried using several other PVR type programs, such as PowerVCR, and they seem to work except for recording. When I hit record on any of those programs, I get a message about the capture graph can't be initialized. Also, the programs I've used dont de-interlace on the fly, so the video is pretty crappy looking when there's a lot of motion.

If anyone knows how to solve this problem, then please help. Any suggestions at all will be helpful.

Also, if there's another good PVR type program that can de-interlace on-the-fly, could you please tell me what it is? Freeware or trialware, it doesn't matter. I just need to do some tests with it.

  2. Well, I've seemed to have fixed the problem! For those who want to know, I noticed my sound card controls (Sound Agent) was greying out options and some other things. All I did was uninstall then reinstall my sound card drivers and now everything works! WinFast PVR works, as well as all of the other programs, such as PowerVCR II.
