Hi.
I use tmpegEnc to convert from avi to dvd movie, and i have noticed that
in some divx films i have converted recently, the video field is flickering, the video image isn't constat 100% but suffers several little stops (milisecs) almost inapreciable, with the same frequency. does nybody know why it is caused and how it can be avoided?
thanks.

What's the framerate of your source? What's the framerate of your mpeg? They should match.

oopps!!! i didn't know that.
then ,both framerates must be the same? And if... i want to convert a ntsc to a pal video, what can i do then? -
I'm in UK and I just leve the source as is ie if the source is NTSC I use the NTSC wizard in TMPGenc. Plays perfectly in all my players no problem. And with no juddering of the pic. PS2 , Philips DVDR75 , DVD HIFI , Mustek Standalone , they all play back perfectly on my PAL TV. Try encoding one leaving as NTSC and try it in your player you will probably find NTSC will play back OK.

Do you know if in order to solve this problem I could use the
tmpgenc filter called "do not frame rate conversion"? I am asking this question as I am converting a divx film that is at 23.976fps and even keeping that frame rate the video flickers and I have thought to use this filter couldf be a solution.
thanks.
