  1. Hi.

I have looked all over this forum for a link to the best software to convert DVD to VCD. Can someone confirm the title of the best without losing the quality. I do understand that VCD quality is not the same as DVD, I have tried a couple of programs and the quality seems very poor.

My kiddies keep damaging my DVD's and would like to be able to 'back them up'.

    Please advise

    Thanks in advance

  2. Which ones did you try?

And which ones do you like most?

BTW, many of the guides here also provide suggestions (if not solutions) to obtain best results for those tools in the guides. Read up !

My choice is Eazy VCD. Set to Highest Quality (Very Slow), the results are excellent on a 68cm TV. Follow my guide here.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  4. you have to do it in steps, but smartripper, dvd2avi and then tmpenc are the best way by far to make a quality vcd... see how at http://entiendo.gotnet.net

  5. TMPGEnc.

But I've never tried Eazy VCD, either...
